Idae
The European Commission has committed to increasing the European target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in 2030, setting it at a minimum level of 55% compared to 1990. This target entails a series of national commitments, including a very ambitious cumulative final energy saving target for the period 2021-2030.
To achieve this objective, which is set out in Article 8 of the new Energy Efficiency Directive, joint efforts and cooperation will be required from all stakeholders, including public administration.ç
In the case of Spain, this target translates into a figure of 53,593 ktep of cumulative final energy savings by the end of the decade.
At IDAE, we support any public entity that has implemented energy saving and efficiency measures and wishes to contribute to this objective by reporting its energy savings to the Commission.
In addition, IDAE has a web platform for these entities where they can share information of interest, training resources, methodologies, etc.
